Stan Goldfarb

Stan Goldfarb is a co-founder and owner of Horizon Actuarial. He currently divides his time between the East Coast and West Coast. He has focused on multiemployer benefit plans for more than 45 years.

Relevant Experience

Over a thirty-one-year career at Watson Wyatt, Stan became a Senior Consulting Actuary specializing in working with multiemployer clients, and most of his work related to defined benefit pension plans. Now, as Actuary & Managing Consultant with Horizon Actuarial, he conducts analyses and provides strategic guidance to multiemployer pension funds and is also involved with health and welfare plans and other types of benefit plans.

Industry Activities

Stan is a frequent public speaker, for example, at meetings of the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans (IFEBP).

Education

Stan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Education from the University of Maryland. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA.
