Michael Hammer

Michael Hammer is a Consulting Actuary in the Los Angeles office of Horizon Actuarial. Michael has worked in retirement benefit consulting since 2015, focused mostly on multiemployer defined benefit plans.

Relevant Experience

Michael’s experience includes developing actuarial valuations, data analysis, and projections under PPA. He also consults on the strategic design, funding, and administration of multiemployer defined benefit plans.

Off the Clock

In his time off the clock, Michael enjoys spending time with his three young kids. He also enjoys watching sports, especially his favorite teams which include the Dodgers and the Kings.

Education

Michael holds a BS degree in Actuarial Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is a Fellow of the Society Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA.
