Kevin Culp

Kevin Culp is a Senior Consulting Actuary and owner of Horizon Actuarial located in Washington, DC. His primary focus is multiemployer retirement plans, and Kevin has over 20 years of experience as a consulting actuary.

Relevant Experience

In a career working with multiemployer retirement plans, Kevin has worked with plans on a variety of complex issues (including MPRA suspensions, SFA applications, benefit changes, rehabilitation and funding improvement plans, and withdrawal liability) across a wide array of industries including transportation, construction, and retail food. Kevin’s career highlight was when the director of benefits for a pension plan once referred to him as “the least boring actuary she ever met.”

Off the Clock

In his spare time, Kevin likes to go hiking, play basketball and softball, root for Cleveland sports, think about pizza, and occasionally drink an old-fashioned.

Education

Kevin is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Westminster College in Pennsylvania.
