Brian Long

Brian Long is a Senior Consulting Actuary located in San Diego. He has over 20 years of experience as a health actuary.  His primary focus is multiemployer benefit plans.  He helps clients navigate financial, operational, and compliance issues related to medical and supplemental health risks.

Off the Clock

In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with his three boys, going to his sons’ soccer and baseball games.  He also enjoys trail running and participates in a few ultramarathons each year.

Education

Brian is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.  He graduated from UC San Diego with degrees in Management Science, Mathematics/Applied Science, and Psychology, earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota, and passed all the CFA exams.
